Founded in 1995,
National Imaging Associates (NIA), pioneered the
radiology benefits management industry. With our long-standing
experience, grounded in clinical research, innovative technology
and proven results, NIA has grown to become a full-service
specialist in clinical decision support.
In 2006, NIA was acquired by Magellan Health Services. This alignment with Magellan brought even more power to NIA, allowing our clients to tap into the extensive resources, operational and clinical expertise, and financial backing that you would expect from the country's leading diversified specialty health care management company.
As evidence of our long-standing commitment to service, NIA has paved the way in protecting sensitive health information. We were the first diagnostic imaging management provider to receive URAC HIPAA Privacy and Security Accreditation and JCAHO/NCQA's Privacy Certification for Business Associates.
And, in 2008, we received an American Stevie Award for our Customer Dashboard, an online "real-time" data-reporting tool. This award provided additional evidence of how NIA upholds our commitment to providing our customers with convenient, easy-to-use management tools and transparency into the outcomes and results we achieve.
Today, with more than approximately 18 million Americans benefiting from our services, NIA continues to chart the course in delivering optimal outcomes and predictable results in the midst of an ever-changing health care industry.
